Look What I Can Do!

Braxton can now sit up when I put him there. He has to told himself up with his hands though. I also learned yesterday that he can hold his bottle while he drinks. It is kind of sad seeing him grow up...I don't know that I like it!
(I'm sure this is not that excited for most...but, it is for me :)!)

Finally Some Warm Weather!

On Wednesday, we had the most beautiful day and Braxton and I finally got to go play outside. First, we took a walk in the stroller.

Then, Braxton got to swing on the baby swing in our complex. He really loved it. It totally relaxed him and he would just look around at everything going on. He really likes being outside.

Then, I opened the garage door and let him play in his jumper for the first time. He really can't touch the ground, but he loved grabbing all the stuff on it. I would spin him around so he could play with everything.

Last, after a long afternoon playing, it was time for a nap! He fought it, but finally he took one. We had a ton of fun! I'm so glad spring is here!

Way Down South For Easter!

We went to Louisiana for Easter to visit my family. They finally got to see our cute little boy! They have been waiting anxiously. We had a great trip. I think we pretty much just ate and visited family the whole time. I am always telling Blake how Utah doesn't have any good food. So, we took advantage while we were down south to get some yummy food. I wish I had taken more pictures, but here are some for you!

The day we were returning to Utah. I had to wake up Braxton at 4 in the morning to catch our plane. He didn't really seem to mind though.

Easter:

Our Family

Trip to see PaPaw:

Blake got to eat crawfish for the first time! He loved it...he even sucked the head! I don't even do that!

Our Trip to the New Orleans Aquarium:

I did not think that Braxton would really react to the fish. But, I would put the stroller right next to the tanks and he would giggle and baby talk. It was super cute! Grammy bought him a fish book because he liked them so much.

Trip to see Maw-Maw:

Brax is the 13th great-grandchild!

Brax loved his Aunt Kristin!

This is kind of late, but Blake had a great Birthday! For his actual birthday, me went and had dinner at Market Street. It was one of the first times we just got away without the baby since Valentines. I surprised him the morning of his birthday with a new outfit and new shoes. He was super excited! Then he went outside to find his car decorated and stuffed with balloons! I don't think he was super excited about that though. I wrote "Honk, It's My Birthday" on the back. He wanted me to drive it, but I told him he had to :)! It was great. The next day, I arranged a little surprise party for him at The Red Iguana in Salt Lake. He had not clue. He thought that we were just meeting his parents, but I had invited a ton of friends. Thanks to everyone that could make it. Here is a little pic of Braxton and Blake on his birthday! Sorry, I didn't get very many pictures. The camera was dead.

Learning the Value of Hard Work

As most of you know, I have a great job that allows me to work from home most of the time. It was quite the adjustment at first trying to manage being a mom, wife, student, and employee. But, I just take it one day at a time. I long for the day when I can just be a mom. I know for some that might seem really boring or unproductive, but I have come to see that it is all I have ever really wanted. I know I could do a million things and have plenty of talent. But, I really don't think that there is any better service than to be a great mom. Now, that said, I'm sure it will be quite awhile before I get the point that I can have that dream. But, I'm very content with where I am now. Anyway, here are some picture of Brax helping me with my work. He loves to sit and talk (baby talk) to me while I work. Thanks Jess and Kim for the Bumbo! I really think it has saved me! He loves it so much!
