Just Another Week!

Well, not much has gone on this week in our family. Blake sold six alarms last week and he is really trying to get used to the work. It is not as easy as he thought it would be. I'm just getting ready for the move. If anyone knows of any good places for rent, preferably a house or townhouse in Sandy/Draper/surrounding areas please let us know!

Our Little Button!

Look at the newest addition to our family!! Our baby is still cooking and not quite done, but we cannot wait. I had my first doctor's appointment on Tuesday. I was really nervous about it...I'm not sure why, but I was! I had a sweet midwife for my appointment. She checked everything and said all my tests were fine. Then, we tried to hear the heartbeat and we couldn't hear it....so being the pregnant woman that I am, I was about to cry! But, she said not to worry and that we would do an ultrasound. It worked out even better because I actually got to see our little baby! I couldn't stop smiling! You cannot tell too well from the picture, but our baby is sucking its thumb. She said our baby was very photogenic!

Blakey Is Gone :( ......

Blake left on Monday for his summer job working for APEX alarm company, selling alarms door to door. We are happy that he has this opportunity to go sell and make some good money. But, it is definately not any fun being apart. Hopefully, I will get to join him soon.....:)! So, I'm left here alone to get everything together to move and all I want Blake to worry about is selling alarms. He is out there with some good friend and I know they are taking care of him!

Blake and I finished classes last week and we are hoping we both have straight As.....yah right...but, maybe close!

Lex came and got Blake's car to keep for the summer. We had a great time with him visiting. But, Trudy said she wanted her man home ASAP, so he didn't get to stay too long!

The pregnancy is going good! I'm not having as much morning sickness, but I'm getting very tired...and quite moody! The doctor's appointment is next week, my 12th week! Hope everything is good!

My best friend Amanda Thompson graduated from American University (Washington DC) with her graduate degree. She is a smart cookie! She is hoping to get a government job, but is taking the summer off to relax...she hasn't taken any breaks from school. I love her!

We're Pregnant!!!!

Well the news is out we are having a little baby!!! We are so very excited. We found out on April Fools Day and Blake did not believe me after I took the test that we were pregnant. I thought that I was pregnant for almost the whole month because I kept gaining weight even though I was dieting and working out. So, I started taking pregnancy tests for like the five days before my ...you know what....and they all were negative. But, I just knew that I was pregnant. I prayed on April 1st and said this is the last one I am taking and I'm leaving it to you Lord! And, we were pregnant!!! The line was really faint and Blake did not believe it. The next morning we went to the clinic and got a blood test. They called that afternoon and said we were 3 1/2 to 4 weeks pregnant! We are so excited because we really wanted a little one. Some people think that you should wait, but we just felt like it was the time. It almost felt wrong to be stopping it. We are due on December 10th, which is my Maw-Maw's birthday too! Our first doctor's appointment is May 22nd. Then we are moving to Chicago and will have to find a new doctor. It is so neat that we can be trusted by Heavenly Father to have such a precious gift. I am so excited to have great family and friends to share these times with! Love YOU!!! - Emily

My First Job as a Visiting Teacher

Well, this month was my first time to visit teach for church. I have two inactive sisters and two very active sisters (including our gospel doctrine teacher). I have been really nervous about it because I have never had a visiting teacher, so I worked up the nerve. I had to ask my visiting teacher to go with me because my companion is inactive. So, I prepared my lesson and tried to figure out what I would do for each sister. This month we had to pick any lesson from the Ensign that we would like to teach our sisters. I was really happy to go with my visiting teacher because she is a new member too and we were out to complete our first visiting teaching job together! So, we jumped in the car, I drove and she navigated. Each sister we visited was so happy to see us and excited to meet us. I did not have a chance to do the lesson with all of them, but I just introduced myself and learned about them. I had a chance to pray with one of the inactive sisters who has not been able to go to church in quite awhile. She was recently baptised, but work has kept her from attending. I bowed my head to pray and felt the spirit just screaming at me that this women needed me there. I hope that I was able to make her feel the love Heavenly Father has for her. My first trip visiting teaching was a memorable one! I learned so very much about myself and my sisters. I don't think that I will be quite as nervous next time. I feel like Heavenly Father has something for me to give to these sisters and I love him for giving me this opportunity. I hope I can fulfill it each month. It is fun to learn more and more about the gospel and the church. So many things are new to me and fun to discover. One of my sisters gave me this website to help my family members and friends understand the LDS church...it is a good reference for us to read and to give them answers http://www.fairlds.com .

Our Easter Sunday!

We had a wonderful Easter! My mom came and visited this weekend and we had a great time. We went to downtown Old Colorado City here in Colorado Springs and saw all the cute little shops. I think Blake's favorite was the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Store where we bought some very delectable chocolates...which definitely breaks our diet!!! Trudy told us she did not get us candy for Easter because of our diet...but, we broke it anyway! Then on Easter Sunday we went to church and heard the most wonderful talked by President and Sister McConkie about the resurrection and the atonement. Then we came home and had a great Cosco ham (cooked by my beautiful mama) and creamy potatoes (cooked by me!) ! We wish we could have had the whole family here to celebrate such a special time. We miss all of you so very much!!! One more week until we see the Tracy family again! We love you!

Blake's Birthday

I know that it is a little late, but we did celebrate Blake's Birthday on March 12th! We both took the day off and went to the Denver Zoo! We saw the lions and tigers and bears! Then we went to eat at Rodizio's Brazilian Restaurant where they carve all these amazing meats right at your table for you to eat! It was yummy!

Blake's Favorite Birthday Gift!

I was able to surprise Blake with second row tickets to the Spurs and Nuggets game on Friday! I searched hard for the tickets and got an amazing deal on the second row from a ticket season holder, the Denver Bronco's Tightend! We had a great time and he could not believe that we were so close. We got served our drinks and yummy hot dogs! We were so close right next to where the Spurs came out onto the court. He even got to take pictures with the ESPN guys! We had a great time!
